This happens sometimes as soon as the first low frequency when the sub hits hard, it will shut off right then and the sub will not play until I turn the car off and back on. Then, after that it may either go right back off or stay on. Also, it doesn't always shut off in the first hit. I can play it for a good while and it will shut off as well.
I've checked all my connections to the sub, amp, everything. They are solid. I notice when the sub goes off the amp is still on, but the 'protection' light is on. Does this mean it is shutting off to protect the sub, or is there something internally wrong with the amp? I know it isn't because it's over-heating because I have 2 fans directly on the components of the amp.
