Amp shutting off...

Hey i have a quick question, I am running two amps, one amp for just my subs and a 4 channel amp just for my components. When I first got the amp and installed it, it worked perfectly fine, then i ran a new 0 gauge power wire and just cleaned up the wires a little bit. But, my amp for the components was working fine for the first two weeks after i got the new power wire, now, I turn on my radio, and you know everything works fine, the amps turn on and it sounds perfect, but my component amp will just shut off. It will turn off whenever it feels like it. It doesn't even last like 5 minutes now and it just shuts off, and the only thing I get is bass from my sub amp (since my speakers are ran to my 4 channel amp, the one that keeps turning off), so I was just wondering, what do you guys think the problem is? Should I check my remote? Or ground, or what do you think? Any help would be appreciated...

does it turn back on after u restart the car or head unit? this happened to me for my sub amp...after i changed the ground to the battery then it stopped.

well i live in florida and it is usually always hot here, and sometimes it does get hot but it never overheated. i have a main ground that goes to a distribution block, then off the block goes two other grounds straight to the amp? is that alright? yeah the amp will just shut off (doesn't go into protect mode, it just shuts off) and then maybe like two minutes later after I turn off my head unit, and turn it back on, the amp will turn back on and play fine, then it will go off again. thanks for you help I'll check my connections.

make use that the power wire and ground wire dont touch

some amps if touch ones it cuts off untill deck restarts

remote wire if lose will cause this problem also

did u change yor rca jacks to yor mids amp?????

yeah ill have to look to see if the wires are touching, hopefully not. And I have the rca's coming from my dvd reciever, to the main sub amp, then from there I have a pair of rca's from the line out of that amp that goes to the mid amp.

No need to bypass the amp. Most use an LOC that takes the full amped signal and turns it into a flat RCA level signal. Here is the newest I have...

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...
