Amp shutting off..

I just got my first system installed today and it is not off to a good start..

I have a Kenwood KAC X811-D amp and a 15" Solo Baric L7 in a custom ported box. When i arrived at the audio store to pick up my vehicle, they informed me the amp was cutting off after about 15 minutes.. I got in my Blazer, and listened to the sub. It hits HARD and is LOUD! After 15 minutes of listening to it, the amp cut off. It has been off over an hour as I am typing this now and aint coming back on..

I have already sent an e-mail to the company I bought it from... If i get another one of these amps that is new, should I go ahead and sell it on ebay?
