2 or 3 DVC subs?

Currently I have 3 4-ohm DVC subs. I was looking at the diamond audio D61500,D61000 amps. Problem is they are only 1 ohm stable and I would have to wire these to .67 ohm. Could they play for a while at .67 ohm?

or

I could just use two of the wired to 1 ohm, which would be louder and could play for extended amount of time.

My budget is $500. I don't really like used that I cannot see, but online is okay if there are any other suggestions. I looked at the PG Xenon 1200.1 but it seems that they are losing ground in build quality. I am looking for something I can play for hours at a time, pushing around 1k watts.

um...just wondering...

the subs arent exactly 4ohms...they may be 3.6 or something like that...so if you can find out the exact resistance then MAYBE it might be close to 1 ohm...

iono...just wondering

The subs are not what would give out, the amp is.

You could go with a Rockford Fosgate 1501BD, they will put out around 1500wrms @ 2ohms I believe.

EDIT:

Is it 1501BD? That sounds off to me, ill look it up right quick.

WHat would be the best way to find out?
You do not want to go by the DCR, you really do not want to get into anything other than printed resistance unless you learn about what you are doing first.

A 1501BD by Rockford Fosgate will put out more then rated at 2ohms, and since you can wire the subs to 2.67Ohms, you should be fine.
