1000-1200w Rms @ 2ohms Amp?

Hi, What recommendations do people here have for a nice 1000-1200W RMS @ 2 OHM Amplifier?

I listen to it loud, and lotsa bass for extended periods of time, so something w/ fans, or an amp known not to overheat easily is a must...

I was thinking the MRD-M1005 (Alpine)

Any other suggestions? Will be running 2 12" Type-R's (2005)

That Alpine's a decent unit.

I got a Memphis 16-ST1500D I would let go there are pics in my gallery..

it does 1500x1 @ 2 ohms

How is that amp? I mean, locally all I can buy is Alpine, RF, JL, JBL, Kenwood, so I dont have much to choose from here, or even listen to ... So i dont know about Memphis... Does it overhead after playling like full blast for 2-3hrs striaght? Heavy bass tracks.... cuz thats what I do, and im sick of RF, MTX overheating on my ***....

Memphis is top notch quality...No ever heating etc. very clean and a pretty small footprint for a 1500wrms amp. Looks very good and pretty efficient. More then likely it is underrated somewhat (never had it benched). I dont want to go on too much as it is mine so of course I think it is good, let some others chime in on the Memphis......

You can not buy Memphis online unless its on ebay...they strictly prohibit internet sales...My amp is the Memphis 16-ST1500D 1500wrms x1 @ 2ohms and 1000wrms x1@ 4 ohms. Class D circuitry. Chrome all cooling finn heatsink. To me it looks much better then the new Memphis line..Some may not think so though..

i wouldnt go with the alpine amp, i have it and im taking it back, it puts out about 8xx watts rms at 2ohm.
