Amp Shuting Down

Hello, I have a MBQuart DCS 480 amp bridged to 2X320

Pioneer Head Unit DEH 6700

PPI 356s comp speakers

with everything hooked up the amp shuts down when the volume is turnd up any amount at all. Would the speaker cross overs be causing the problem ?

I understand there are so many variables but are there any ideas on what to check ?

How high is your gain turned up? What are your equalizer settings, loud settings, sub level, bass boost, etc?

Its being done by an installer who told him that the passive crossovers that came with the component set are causing the amp to shut down. Does this make sense to anyone?

I'm being told that they set the gains to about 75% of max level

No EQ, No loud settings, no sub, no bass boost

just the head unit , amp, cross overs, speakers.
