well last night my soundstream ega1400d bit the dust, and i'm looking for somewhere to repair it...or if its even worth repairing? i paid 250 for it, a good 3-4 years ago so i def got my money out of it. here is a pic of whats toasty...its circled it red.

Nope, it's trash, send it to me. I'll pay shipping. J/K, what's bad? The mosfets burn out. If so you can buy replacements for a couple of dollars at Mouser, and solder them in if you know how to solder. If not check out db-r.com and get a quote.

call soundstream and get an RA number.I had a 405 that had blown all to hell.They replaced it for a flat fee 120.Plus they gave me a 1 year warrenty.

ya, all the mosfets, the resisters that are in between the mosfets, and a hand full of transistors, and resistors in the center/lower part of the board. i can solder...but i don't know the values of the resisters...as all thats left is black pieces of wire. and 2 of the transisters unsoldered themselves, and are 2 diff values. so i don't know where to put them back. db-r.com huh? isn't their another one k b amps or something. i've heard it mentioned alot in the past, but not lately, and don't remember what it was called so i cant search it.

Yeah, if you have that much wrong, I would just go with the $120 flat rate.

Talk to Chris at db-r. He's on here as well. Don't use sergey at kb, he scammed an assload of people awhile back...don't know what ever happened with that...they had figured out where he lived but idk what happened...BUt yeah Chris fixed my 6 channel jl. I think it was around 80$ for my repair...that was in july...still going strong.
