Amp repair question

I opened up my ProMos450 when I got it and noticed some solder on the board. The solder was holding down a a japanese capacitor. So obviously it has been fixed but The solder has a brownish color to it around the base. Is this just flux or do I need my amp fixed? I have not powered it on due to a lack of a distribution block and time. Also, the white grease looking stuff (that is a pain in the *** to get out of fabric) that is on the mosfets looks like it has been moved around a lot and isn't covering the mosfets. Should I get more of this stuff or something else to put on it? Thanks guys.

Probably flux, it's not conductive, don't worry about it. Also these amps from factory had a capacitors soldered in old-fashion style, so it's probably is not even repaired amp.

its an odd cap out. not to mention it says japan on it. One of the coils is darker than the other too. Anything about the white stuff on the mosfets?

The thermal grease isn't supposed to cover the transistors, it's there to improve the thermal coupling to the heat sink. So it only needs to be between the transistor and the heatsink.
