This is a FYI Discussion about this business. I have sent about 5-6 amps to this place to be repaired and can honestly say they have only been able to repair 1 amp well and it was a Kicker zx1000.1. I sent them an AB VFL400.1, AQ2200, and an AQ3500, none of which came back any better than how they went in. The last one the AQ3500 I was at my witz end and decided the hell with this and sent it back to them. I called them about the first 2 and the owner Scott said they were tested and worked fine and if I sent them back in that if their was nothing wrong with them I would have to pay the minimum bench fee of $35 plus return shipping, and I though well since they will be the judge on whether they're fixed or not, I'll just keep them. Even though I knew that their is no way a Kicker zx1500.1 should be 2x louder than an AB VFL400.1, expecially since I do have the battery to push them. Well since I sent them the AQ3500 back, they decided to spite me, and keep my amp. 4 months later after numerous un-returned emails, and phone calls, and anyone who has dealt with them should know they don't answer the phone (wonder why) I had to call the Portage Co. Sheriffs to get my amp back, and I bet it will still come back broke, I'll let you know when I get it. I have given them over $1000 for these 3 amps alone. I called other amp repair places (all of which answered the phone) and 2 of them said they won't touch an amp that came from ARC. Bottomline is, please be cautious if you plan to send them your amps, please concider these other centers DB-r, Ampmedics, CIA Engineering, because ARC will rip you off, thank you for reading. P.S. I am sure their are some that feel they have had good luck with ARC, and I'm happy for you

Wow, awsome thread, as in evidence. I am also a business, and I am filing a civil suit against them for all of the amps that they have taken money from my company and didn't fix. The sad part is, after talking to this Scott, I truly felt that he knew what he was doing, and I started buying burnt up amps that had good value and sending them to ARC for 2 reasons, 1 to support my states economy, and 2. there's money in refurbished amps if you can get them fixed. I have always just put amps for sale in good faith that they have done their job, and luckily for my company, I haven't sold any amp for a real refurbished price to where I'd be in hot water, other than the issue I'm having over this AQ3500 in which I sold for $400, bought for $250, and paid $255 for repairs, and shipping it in twice, so I'm in the red on money, but my main concern is my customer who has been waiting 4 months for an amp. The only reason I paid so much for the AQ3500 is because all that was wrong with it was a low gain issue, I could have been grimmy and just turned the gain all the way up, and sent my customer on, but I don't get down like that, so I had to tell him that this amp needs to go back in, offered him a different amp, but he insists on this AQ3500, which for all the money I have in this amp, I could have bought a brand new one of the new model, for a hundred or 2 more. I did have a long conversation with Tilt up at CIA Engineering, and he did tell me that due to the overseas production, and the manufacturers not wanting to give up any secrets, it's hard to get some parts for some amps, and that it takes months to get some parts. ARC's problem is lack of communication, poor customer service. I am going to call some of my connections in China and Korea, and see if they know of any places over there that builds these amps, that will repair them. I know most of you wont send your $1000+ amps overseas, but with manufacturing inabilities in our country today, due to lack of supply for demand, and supply being very broad (e.g. capital, labor, etc., etc.) it may be the only true answer to getting reliable repairs done to your bigger amps

I am glad I got this info . This guy has my 3000.1 autotek and I have paid him for it and he want even answer the phone or return my emails . So can anyone tell me what I need to do next . I have never dealt with a busy like this ever and want my product back.

call them and tell them to send it back.i get al my maxxsoincs amps fixed locally,we have a small shop in salinas and this guy has done very good work on the maxxsonics amps, for a great price too.

Well I have called and called and it's always a recording and have even sent emails , like I said I never seen a business like this before and will let everyone know do not deal with this guy. Will report him to the better business bureau and file a complaint against him . Cause he has my money and my product .

I mean I would have thought someone would have taken them to court or the bbb would have investigated and done something after all the complaints people have filed. I;m kinda tempted to go visit this place next time I go home, my parents house is about 45mins from Akron.

I finally got my amp back today and will take it to a local stereo shop and see is it working . Had to threaten Scott with filing legal action against him and he would be liable for all legal exspences that may occure during that time . I gave him 10 days and gotta amp on the 11th day. Not sure if it's fixed or not though.

No need to ship an amp overseas to get repaired call ampmedics if he doesn't have the parts he gets them and does a very good job repairing amps so good that in most cases I can't even tell the difference between the factory fresh soldering job and his.

Yes you right . I just don't have the time and I am a ole school guy and Its hard finding a good legit shop now days cause all the old ones that was some good closed down due to when they put that music ordinance into effect and most people say what do I need all this music for when I am just going to get stop by the police.
