amp removal

SCENARIO: i recently bought a blazer and i would like to remove the amp and subs i have from a pick up and install them in my blazer.

QUESTION: I would like to know what would be the safest way to remove that amp without there being live wires under the seat. it would be best if i could leave those wire in (but safely) because my brother will be driving that vehicle and i think he is planning on putting his own amp in.

if more details are needed (amp model, power, whatever) just let me know

is there a fuse to the wire? also take the wire and disconnect then check with a meter. then cap the ends.

snip the wire , wrap it in some electrical tape, try and keep it away from direct contact with metal.

seems to work for me had a live 0 guage wire connected for a couple weeks laying in my trunk. snipped it, taped it and had no probs

yeah guess i forgot that. just take the fuse out of the fuse holder and it wont be live.
