these are my speakers

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-VrXN6a...isplay=Infinity

they are currently running off head unit power and i have decided im looking for something along the lines of more power. it says they are 75 rms at 4 ohms so im looking for some decent priced recommendations for amplifiers. im just looking for 2-way amps to keep down on costs; figured id keep my rear speakers off hu if im going to use them at all. also i was wondering since its 75 rms/4 ohms what generally should i be looking for? im thinking something 75-100rms at 4 ohms but im not sure if since im running two speakers of 4 ohm impedence i should be looking for 75-100rms at 2 ohm.

here are some amps im considering:

pheonix gold t300.2-fr

let me know what you think i should do. oh, also i went to goodguys to check up on price of installation and they say $75 install + $50 install kit + $30 rca cables. does that sound about right to you? i think i read around about something called a distributor block i think? any tips and advice greatly appreciated, thanks.

Because they are better than the amps you linked. Another great choice is the Soundstream Rubicon 302. But you'd have to go used on egay.

wtf happened to my post?!

anyways ill post it again. alpine mrv-t320 for 118 bucks off ikesound.com . rated 80x2 @ 4 ohms but the birthsheet i got says 83x2 @ 4 ohms.

thanks for the recommendations; im really looking to spend around 100 unless the quality really is worth the price. seems like the refurb tantrum 300.2 off thezeb sounds perfect for me so unless anyone has any better quality output/price recommendation let me know.

also i want to make sure im looking for the right kind of amp; something 75rms ish at 4 ohms right? or should i be looking for 75rms ish at 2 ohms? how about what good guys told me i need for the install, sound right to you?

oh and i noticed the link doesnt work, here it is:

infinity kappa 63.5i

Eh.......you really going to spend $200 on a pair of co-axials??

Anyways, yes, 4ohm is what you need (75w x 2 @ 4ohm).

And the installation equipment shouldn't cost $80. That's way too high. Run over to Walmart and pick up the wiring kit & RCAs from there........should be right around $30 or so total IIRC.

oh i wouldnt buy anything off crutchfield, nice site and great customer service and all but those prices... bah. iv had those for months and finally decided to get them amped. what decided it for me was i wanted a new head unit and it pretty much came down to alpine 9835 vs eclipse 5354 (i think?). im convinced the alpine would sound better off head unit power, but the eclipse would sound much much better if i also pick up an amp.

thanks again for the help, ill go buy that pg amp and drop by walmart for the wires. i could have sworn i read somwhere that wire was wire no matter the fancy colors or name brand, but i couldnt remember where.

oh and i picked the coaxials off ebay for like $100 shipped. im pretty happy with them other than straight out of the box the highs were pretty bright. nothing a little equilizing couldnt fix imo.

There's an overstock store on ebay called sell2all, and while everything they sell is overstock / shelf pulls, it's also **** cheap.

http://www.stores.ebay.com/store=3324917

But don't expect ANY customer support. I bought an amp there, blew it, and they NEVER returned any emails. (It was an extremely cheap amp, it worked perfect, it was just a wire slipped and boom...)

Just... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T BUY LEGACY!
