Amp recommendation?

Hello, I've been a member here for awhile now, but I never post anything. 2 Years ago I purchased some Hertz HSk 165 comp and got a sundown 125.2 amp to go with it. I never really looked in purchasing a sub.

Now, I think it time for a little more kick. My friend give'd me 2 free discontinue JL 8w6 subs because he didn't have the ability to recone them, so I order the recone kit and did it myself.

My question now is, I'm looking for an amp to power these subs. I'm looking for something around 200-300rms if that even possible. anybody would recommend me a amp? I've been out of the car audio loop for sometime now.

IIRC, even the old W6 needs twice that RMS

I google it, im pretty sure its the 8w6 listed on the website above. Its say 200 rm, neo, its possible to go for 400 safely?

Im thinking of grabbing a jl 500/1 amp for these subs. Looking to buy locally first, if nothing probally 250 max.
