I need some amp reccomendations. I'm looking to spend no more than about $250 (on the amp alone), if possible.
My current system:
Kenwood KDC-215S (http://www.livemanuals.com/partners/kenwood/manuals/kw022/manual/KW022_07.html#KW022_07_01_01)
Front Speakers: Infinity Reference 5000cs(http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/product.aspx?ProdId='REF5000CS')
Handles 75 Watts RMS
Rear Speakers: Infinity Reference 6000cs (http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/product.aspx?ProdId='REF6000CS')
Handles 90 Watts RMS
When you list reccomendations, it would be helpful if you'd include any info/specs you have on that particualar amp (price, power, features, etc.)
So far, I like the USAcoustics USX-4085 because it seems to have plenty of power (4x85 Watts RMS), good reviews and a price ($180) that shames competitors, but I've never actually heard any speakers run on a USAcoustics amp, and am suspicious of the amazing price gap between it and competing models. But Crutchfield's return policy and 3-year warranty are enough to ease most of my worries.
I've looked at the Alpine MRP-M240 and the Kenwood KAC-8401. The Alpine's power rating (4x40 watts RMS) seems weak, and whole unit ($200) seems overpriced given the lack of power. As for the Kenwood, the power (4x60 watts RMS) is on the lower end of what I'd hope for from a $250 unit.
If anyone knows any other models I should look into, or has feedback on any of the amps I'm looking at, that'd be a great help.
Thanks,
Adam
