Amp Rack question

I made a box to cover my amp on my amp rack. I plan on covering in Nissan Endurasoft vinyl and I would like to have "350z" raised logo in the middle of the box. My question is: What is the best material to use to make the raised pattern. Cardboard's too flemsy, particle board is too hard to cut.

1st 2 pics are my box and the 3rd is another Z with the same concept so you guys can know what I'm talking about.

Balsa wood ( I think thats how you spell it.)

thick foam should be the easiest way, easy to cut and will make it a bubble look not a sharp protruding logo

I have always used MDF or Balsa depending on the shape I needed. I tried the foam once but I couldnt get it to keep the shape I wanted

my SX loves it lol its wired at 1.4ohm and getting a nice chunk of power, the amp stays cool and the bass stays strong

That amp rack design is from a prefab box, the amp rack in the picture is just the only one I have saved on my computer with a design on it. I made a box to cover the amp, will be using different vinyl, and the logo with simply be the 350z logo. Its hardly copying. Every Z owner and his mom has that amp rack and millions of folks have logos 'N shit for that custom look.

BTW, here's what that guys amps look like under plexiglass with a Z engraving. Which I did with my 300zx, so he copied me in that aspect, its payback, lol

I finished the amp rack a couple of days ago. The balsa wood worked great. It looks awesome considering I **** at wrapping anything wooden with any fabric. But the seams look pretty bad. You'll see what I mean when I post pics. I have to get my car back from getting the brakes serviced first though...

I use whats called sandblast material, my sticker guys just cuts the logo out of that instead of vinyl...

i commonly use vynal for any raised or sunken lettering, foam and mdf can also be used for larger detail
