Amp rack ideas

I want to build a custom amp rack for my next build, I thinking something motorized. The idea that I had was to have the amp slide from under the sub enclosure or slide from behind the enclosure...The amps will be in plexiglass with with leds..can someone give me some ideas how I should go about doing this?

sonic electronics sells ballbearing drawer slides in different leanghts and actuators with different throws or leanghts, or you can search for them, it would help to see some measurements of the space, amps, and box to see what you have to work with.

share some sketches of your plans, pictures of the vehicle, etc. if the amp rack is under the sub box then you lose that space for enclosure height/airspace. not sure if that matters or not. if it's behind and motorizes up then you're probably using available space but the actuators need to be much stronger to lift the assembly. they make flat screen TV lifts like this.

motorizing out like a drawer will be the easiest to tackle and requires the least amount of strength by the actuators.

Drawer slides from the home store are the most economical. Attached to the enclosure the slack/play in the slide bearings with rattle(go jiggle any drawer) this will be your first problem to overcome. You need a way to lock the drawer in the closed position to eliminate the slack. One idea is to make the drawer appear to be connected but is really isolated from the enclosure vibration. Ill be doing another amp slide enclosure in the next few weeks this time Ill vent the enclosure into the amp area to pull the heat out.
