Amp Question

HUH? My last HU was an Alpine it it was 40x4 and my new HU is the Kenwood DDX-7015 50x4 and I plan on using the HU to run my rear fill. Are you saying that it's not really 50 watts per chl? I thought all the new HU were atleast 40x4?

Um, definitely not. That figure is a Max power number. Most headunits put out in the 10-15w RMS range, with the Alpines being one of the "higher powered" headunits at like 16w or 18w (I can't remember right now), and then that Panasonic unit that puts out 26w RMS is I believe the highest powered headunit ever.

You think it the rear fill will sound ok running of the HU? They are the CDT CL-6x's.

They are 80 RMS.

I normally suggest running rear fill off of the headunit.

Don't mean 2 sound like a noob but my comps are rated at 60rms reccomended power and im running them at 50rms.. should i think ov bridging for extra power?? or leave it

Hi I'm just a new member of this forum, can somebody help me out what type of Amps do i need to drive my JL AUDIo Xr 650.Csi speakers ( front and rear)?

I'm thinking of buying PPI DCS 300.4 ? will it be enough to drive my speakers? or

need to buy the PPI DCS 600.4?
