Okay so if I have 4 speakers and 2 10" subs do I need a 4 channel amp and a 2 channel amp, A 5 channel amp or can subs run fine without an amp? Also, is it recommended that I get a capacitor?
And looking cool is half the fun!...Yes to capacitor, you want one with a LED display on it as not only does it look cool, you can watch your voltage while you drive. That is why most of us mount them on the dashboard or center console.
Good luck and have fun!
I am trying to be a 17 year old child installing his first system in a junk car?The first guy is a retard, he's just trying to be me.
I mostly agree with your give him a break statement. The kid is new to car audio give him a break...
What subwoofers do you have? A 5 channel amp will be your best bet. Upgrade your power and grounds under the hood. Don't waste your money on a cap.
No, just no.I mostly agree with your give him a break statement.
We need to know more about what subs he has as many 5 channels are not 1 ohm stable
For a first system I would recommend using headunit power to the 4 speakers and a 1,000 watt mono amp to the subs.
He can upgrade from there if wanted (many do not want to upgrade from that point)

What's wrong with another battery? Sure as hell beats the cap.Soundstream T5.2500DL 2,500 Watt Tarantula Series 5-Channel Class A/B Amplifier $200.00 @ Amazon.I just installed it into my car. 25 volts measured on each of the channels, 1,2,3,4. also 50 volts on channel 5. Lots of crossovers and nice heatsink.
I have four speakers and two 10" subs.
I recommend the big 3 upgrade instead of a cap or battery.
