Amp question

Thank you for posting without doing any reading at all.

Why would you want to research at all on your own when you can just be spoon fed the information without any effort on your part.

To answer your questions.

yes get a 4 channel amp for your 4 speakers, I recommend the Boss Riot amp

Subs almost never need an amp, they work best from your headunit's power, just connect all your speaker wires together, that is called "Bridging" and is where the real power comes from.

Yes to capacitor, you want one with a LED display on it as not only does it look cool, you can watch your voltage while you drive. That is why most of us mount them on the dashboard or center console.

Good luck and have fun!

And looking cool is half the fun! :)

The first guy is a retard, he's just trying to be me. I literally told him the same thing 2 days ago. Everything he wrote is a lie

you need an amp for subs.

5 channel works for 4 speakers+sub(s) but the sub channel has to allow for a lower impedance that you'll get when wiring 2 subs in parrallel and they they will share the power between them so it's prolly to just get a 4 channel and a monoblock

I am trying to be a 17 year old child installing his first system in a junk car?

Not quite.

My daily driver has a full active system in it with properly setup time delay and 3 separate amps, I am far from an amatuer.

I do get annoyed with today's generation of lazy people who cannot or will not spend any time trying to learn for themselves.

BTW Soundloud, my son is your age. I installed my first system in my first car in 1989 which consisted of an Eclipse deadhead, Boston components, and Coustic amps, I cannot remember the brand of subs.

There is a big difference in sarcasm vs. stupidity.

The kid is new to car audio give him a break...
What subwoofers do you have? A 5 channel amp will be your best bet. Upgrade your power and grounds under the hood. Don't waste your money on a cap.
I mostly agree with your give him a break statement.

We need to know more about what subs he has as many 5 channels are not 1 ohm stable

For a first system I would recommend using headunit power to the 4 speakers and a 1,000 watt mono amp to the subs.

He can upgrade from there if wanted (many do not want to upgrade from that point)

I'm not new to this at all really, I've had 2 12" MTX's with a 3000w amp and had my cousin hook it up but I was just wondering if since I'm putting each speaker to its own channel, whether I should put each sub to a channel or have them share a channel. I've never used a cap but I heard it's good for the battery so you aren't left on the side of the road like a wiener yanker because you wanted loud music. But if it'll run fine without it that's fine. These are the speakers just some cheap Kenwoods.https://www.crutchfield.com/p_1131365S/Kenwood-KFC-1365S.html?tp=105

And the subs are Jensens as well don't care about quality or whatever just want something to play till I can afford Rockfords https://www.crutchfield.com/p_110DUBW10/Jensen-DUBw10.html?tp=68872[/url] The amp for the speakers https://www.crutchfield.com/p_130GMA4704/Pioneer-GM-A4704.html?tp=35782 and the amp for the subs https://www.crutchfield.com/p_110DUB1450/Jensen-DUBa1450.html?tp=35834

Weiner yanker lol

Seriously, what's your budget like? You have some options/choice to choose from like a 4 ch amp and mono amp or a 5 ch amp to power everything.

No, just no.

Terrible advice dude.

Okay so if I have 4 speakers and 2 10" subs do I need a 4 channel amp and a 2 channel amp, A 5 channel amp or can subs run fine without an amp? Also, is it recommended that I get a capacitor?
Soundstream T5.2500DL 2,500 Watt Tarantula Series 5-Channel Class A/B Amplifier $200.00 @ Amazon.

I just installed it into my car. 25 volts measured on each of the channels, 1,2,3,4. also 50 volts on channel 5. Lots of crossovers and nice heatsink.

I have four speakers and two 10" subs.

I recommend the big 3 upgrade instead of a cap or battery.

What's wrong with another battery? Sure as hell beats the cap.
