Amp question 4 channel

No amp yet looking to get one which is why I'm asking.. I don't want to end up getting the wrong one, So say it's something like 175W bridged that means the fronts would be lacking in power, no?

So would it just be better to buy two 2 channel amps or a 2 channel amp & a mono amp?

either way is fine .get an amp like the vfl 350.4 that way you'll have more power for the fronts and sub .you can adjust the gains for lower power if need be .run the fronts on 125 rms per side and the rears at 500 rms bridged

i got an alpine mrp f300 i am selling soon, i used that for my fronts, which is 50x4 rms and a sub @ 150x1 bridged @ 4ohm stable.

You're better off getting a small mono amp for the sub and a 2-channel amp for the speakers. I have some amps in mind that will do a great job for less than $250 for the pair.

That's what I'm thinking too, what are the amps you had in mind? Btw I might do a component setup, So since I'm looking at a 10 inch sub and my car is a wagon I was wondering how can I keep my rear space still useable? That has really been one of the things slowing me down on the whole starting this.. going on 2 years now lol.

I'm thinking of the Precision Power i350.2 and the i650.1. I could do a package deal. I have 6.5" components. A small sealed box for a 10" sub doesn't take up much space. The amps are small enough to probably put both of them under the front seats, depending on clearance.

Another thing.. say my speakers are 80W RMS rated should I be looking at a amp that does that @ 4 ohms X2 or higher... I mean 80W is pretty loud if you ask me but I was just wondering about head room.
