Faulty Power Supply?

Alright guys,

I have an amplifier problem. Hifonics 2610D. My amplifier randomly stays ON when the car is off. I have no problem at all when the ignition is on, the amplifier runs strong. When unplugging the remote wire from the terminal, it usually shuts off on its own. Sometimes, however, I have returned to the car and the amplifier is back on again. Unplugging a power fuse does the trick, of course. It is hard to duplicate when or how it happens.

Tried a different headunit,

different remote wire location

checked twice for power wire strands in the remote terminal

opened the amplifier to eyeball any damage, none found

I have a mids/highs amp in there as well, it does not have the problem.

Any gurus out there? It seems like there is internal damage in the amplifier. I have no idea where to start with that. Bad power supply? Bad remote circuit? You guys chime in, discuss. Thanks!
