Amp Problems..

I have a hifonics titan txi4008 that im bridging to mono and connecting to a sub enclosure with 2 mtx.

When I turn my head unit on, the green light on the amp turns on, but the hifonics logo does not. When I put a cd in the head unit, the green light goes off.

I listend to a song earlier and the hifonics light like came on only in the letter s for just a second, then went off.

Is my amp ****ed up or is it a wiring issue? Also, the book says to use a y split adapter for the rcas, but many ppl on forums told me that isnt needed. Could that be the problem?

Is the amp putting out a signal? If it is i wouldn't think its a big deal sounds like just a loose connection on the wire that powers the lights in the amp. if it is not putting out a signal then then its something else on the board has gone bad. as for the amp shutting of when you off when you put in a CD that's normal.

Why would it shut off when I put in a cd? Or does it turn back on when the music actually starts?

As for the light, when i did see that light, i heard a slight noise from my subwoofers...so its like the amp wanted to work for a second then gave up. I hope its a loose connection and shit isnt fried in there...Its brand new...maybe it shipped from the ebay pplz defective.

Im probably gonna have to call an audio store, or ask my guy thats worked on my car before who knows alot if he can take a look and see whats wrong. Its beyond me what I messed up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

Like I said in your other post about he same issue, you have your remote wire for your amp connected to the antenna wire on your HU. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Im like 99 percent sure I hooked the antenna wire up to a blue wire on the harness. I connected the remote wire to a wire that had a crimp on it, and like a plastic sleeve, and im pretty sure it was called like an amp wire or soemthing.

Both wires (antenna and remote) are usually blue. It is a very common mistake.

That's what it sounds like.
