Amp Problems

Ok i got my boss rev 555 (300w x 2ch) hooked up an everything is working fine for about three weeks but now all of a sudden amp won't power on it just goes straight to protection feature on the amp help anybody????//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Does it go into protect when the speaker wires are not hooked up? If so and you have the proper voltage to it, hope it's under warranty, it's fried. If not, your speakers may be blown or you may have a short in the speaker wires somewhere. If no shorts can be found and you have the correct resistance across the speaker terminals, it's probably the amp.

Boss isn't very reliable, I'm guessing it's fried.

It goes to protection when i add the speaker so what does that mean.... and if it is amp whats the point of the protection feature if it still can b fried

if the amp doesnt go into protect mode when the speaker is not wired to it then try another speaker .you might have damamged the speakers connected to it .

it means, unhook the speakers and turn the amp on, if it goes into protection with no speakers hooked to it, its done
