Amp Problem

If I run my amp for a long time pretty loud it starts to smell bad. I have the gains turned up 3/4ths of the way so I think that might be the problem.

Where do you have the amp mounted and how long has it been mounted there?

My amp is on the floor in front of the box, and its been there ever since I had the amp.

get it replaced. i had the same problem with that amp and i blew my sub. i had it pushing a 15" he and i smelt a "hot electronics" smell and ignored it. i got it replaced and got a new sub and now it worx fine. and turn ur gain down to 1/3 to 1/2.

My sub is new, so should I just set the gains 1/2 and see if it does it again?
