I have a kenwood amp hooked up to two audiobahn subs and it played good for the first day but now a couple of days later there are sometimes when there is a pause between the beats and the subs stop working . is it a bad sub or do I need more juice for the amps Do any of you know what is going on?

Sounds like you need more juice for your subs. Question though does the music totally turn off or just the sub stop working? Check the amp and see if its really hot, just becareful. If it is hot, you might have found the answer to your problem, more power is needed.

just the subs , and the amp doesn't get hot , the problem only happens when i turn up the volume when it is at a low volume it happens less

also the subs are audiobahn which together in the enclosure are 800 watts r.m.s. according to their website,

my amp is a Kenwood 729s which is 600 watts max do you think i need a more powerful amp?

If yes what kind would you recomend

i think that maybe the amp is just runnig out of power or is just clipping, especially if it only happens at high volumes, it probably is bottoming out. maybe a power cap will help. or maybe bigger power and ground wires. what size are you using now?
