I want to start upgrading my system again. And I've came to the conclusion I want to ditch my hifonics 1000d for something a little nicer. I'm thinking a memphis mc1000d or something along those lines. Can anyone else suggest any decent amps in that price range that are going to put out atleast 1000w@1ohm?

Actually, according to most everyone around here, you won't get much better than the Hifonics Brutus 1000d / 1500d for the price.

Try ebay.

I assume those subs are dual 4ohm/coil?? If so, that means you can also look at amps that do 1000w @ 4ohm.

The new Rockford Fosgate Power amps are good. And if you want to do 4ohm, look into US Amps.

If I remember right, all of the amps you metioned above are only 2 ohm stable. Least the MTX is, pretty sure about the memphis, and kinda sure about the viper. Look into Orion 1200D, great amp made by a great company...

The Power T1001BD is what i was thinking, its about 400 but I would wager it could outperform all of those amps.

Kicker KX1200.1 is another worthy example, but keep a serious watch on your gains, CM3's really don't like much more than 600 or so, and all these amps being mentioned are quite underrated.

i love my viper i see you mentioned it (it is stable at 1ohm) and also i see the orion 1200 was mentioned which is also a great amp
