I am planning to buy Alpine Type R 16.5 cm component speakers for my front doors

freq:65-27k

Sesibility:87DB

What power of a amp should i go with?

I heard stories that i shoudnt go over 2x100 rms that it is the max,and i heard stories that 2x150 is MINIMUM,and 2x200 is optimum becouse i will have R type 15'' sub in the trunk..

What is the most ''quality'' solution,i dont want to take the maximum from speakers,i want to take OPTIMUM!?

i have these in my doors, running on an xtant a4004. 100 watts is just fine. i can actually bottom them out fairly easily. the xtant is underrated though, so it's far over 100 watts. i'm not impressed with type r components, personally. i like to cross over fairly low. around 65 hz is where i like the cutoff, but type r comps have problems playing that low, so i have to stick at around 80hz, forcing me to raise the cuttoff for the sub. i hate sending anything above 60-65 hz through the subs.

I'd go with an amp that makes more clean power than your speakers can handle. Most speakers can handle more 'clean' power than advertised, it's when your amp starts clipping you start having problems. Both distortion (amp clipping) and heat (thermal melt down/too much power) are bad but if your amp is tuned correctly you shouldn't have any problems. Remember...a bigger amp will have more reserve power.
