Tried to hook up a PG xenon 600.1 to a JLtw5, the sub barely puts out any noise any or hums, so I tried all except the DNX8120 in my brothers truck, and it slammed hard and clean, perfect, anyone else have problems with this set up, I can’t figure out what’s going on?

The only conculsion I came up with is that my HU is the problem, I cant figure out what else is going on, it works fine in my brothers truck with a Pioneer HU, I have a DNX8120, what else could be the problem other than the HU

My 812 is like this but I think I need to play around with the EQ and filter becaue earlier I had my filter set real low but once I set it at 90-100 the sound really comes out. I have a Sundown 1000D pushing 2 RE SR 10s.

I tired all that, set gain max on amp(I understand gain before I get burned), set all bass on eq and every other setting, my subs still hums, with engine off, and in the other truck I tried the volume was on 5/30 and the sub played loud and clean

You should just sell the 8120 to me for

$100 shipped cause it's broke anyway.

Or just keep reading that big frikkin manual

till you figure it out.

Ill sell you the box the unit came in!

I tried different RCA's use a DMM to find a good ground, I also have a hi amp that works fine with the unit, Ill try to do some more troubleshooting tommorrow when I have some light

Did that set it at 12 and tried 15 and over nothing, the same, thanks for trying
In the Audio control section on page 92, you can setup an overriding

profile for each source, may want to check if that is in effect (with low sub

settings).

Also, if "zone control" is set to on; the sub is disabled.

see page 94.

Rewired the ground and used DMM to make sure it was good, tried all sorts of ways with mixing the rca with f/r/s, the f and r worked but still not loud at all, everytime I plug the sub out from HU to the sub it just hums, never thought I would have to do this now im thinking of bringing it local shop!
