Hi there, I'm thinking of purchasing an amp to install in my car soon but have been thinking of how I am going to wire the power source up in my car. How do most people normally do this?
I have been reading how most head-units are meant to have a "remote on" cable but I looked on the back of my head-unit and there doesn't seem to be one, so I'm guessing I'll have to mount a separate switch for it somewhere.
What I'm more concerned about is where I will get the power source from. Would it be possible to just wire it into the same power source that the head-unit uses, or is this likely to drain too much power from there? If I was to buy a small 300w amp would it really drain much power at all?
Thanks in advance.
