ok yes im new to this stuff, i would like to ask how well my amp will power my sub..... my amp is not that great it is a 350W mono block visonik amp, i dunno the rms at 4ohms cant find it anywhere. i would like to know how well it will power an infinity kappa perfect 1400W 350rms 12in sub. will it give to suffiecent power to get some good bass until i get a better amp???? and when buying another amp i shold look at how much rms power is put out at 4ohms right?? since thats what the sub will be running at?? thanks

what is your subs voice coil configuration?
The one you linked is 4-ohms. My guess is your visonik is probably rated 350w max. So maybe 100-150 watts without too much distortion...

Personally, I'd look in the classifieds for an amp rather than run the visonik.

even if for now i ran that infinity with the gain turned up on the visonik amp?? and yea its 350max,

i have couple amps i can buy off my friends.... at 600W 300 rms alpine mono

a kenwood, 4,3,2 channel 800W max

a pheonix gold octane 500max, 200 at 4 ohms mono

or a bazooka 250 max 150 at 4 oahms

hmmmm so from that, i got that first of all i got the gain controls *** backwards on my amp lol, i though turning it up was to the right and down was to the left, hmm guess not... and when the gain is set lower you can crank your volume up more without maxing the amp out... and with the gain set higher, a slight turn of the volume can max the amp out and send it into clipping am i right???

so yea that visonik amp is weak stuff.... but with the gain down and the HU cranked cant i stil lget something out of a subwoofer?? or should i just get the pheonix 200W rms at 4 ohms or the alpine 300 rms at 4 ohms?

Yes. You will get something, who knows how much. Probably not as much as you want.

What are your goals? What music do you listen to? What's your budget? What equipment do you have now? How technically inclined are you (meaning are you installing it yourself, have you done it before)?
