amp placement?

1. where is the best place to put my speaker amp? 4 door sedan...

I was thinking the easiest would be in the trunk next to my sub amp.

I'll have 4awg power wire running all the way to the trunk, split by a distro block into 2 4awg wires. 1 going to my sub amp, the other to my speaker amp. How long is too long for the power wire after it goes through a dist. block?

2. also, should I ground the distro block (SS powerplant) or just ground each of the amps?

Logically, I would place it in close proximity to your power wire run or battery. Amp placement is becomes more important when using multiple power hungry subwoofer amplifiers.
