So i have a 2001 Chevy Silverado, which i run a BXi 2010d off of. I have a 4 Guage power wire with an 80 amp which i personally think isnt big enough to run but ive had a couple of people tell me it should be fine. Any how my amp tends to love to shut off. If i reconnect everything it only lights up a tad bit once the remote wire is in. Then if i go under my hood and wiggle the Ring terminal where the power connects to my Bat positive it sparks because its loosely on because my terminal ring where the 4 guage connects to i had to cut so it would fit around the positive. My Positive is a bolt that isnt connected to my bat just its run from the actual bat from a wire to a "housing box" type deal with a bolt in the middle. Well i had to cut the Ring because it was to small to fit and its sort of loose but it worked for a while. Well anyway after it sparks the amp turns back on fully and if i turn up my volume to where it normally is it shuts off UNLESS i hold the power cable in place on the housing. once i let go the amp dims again only recieiving power from the remote wire untill i wiggle the wire again. So i was wondering if this was because my ring terminal was chunty or because of an amp problem.
