Amp only playing low frequencies

sub amp should be set with the Subsonic filter (HPF) at 20-30hz and LPF at 80-100hz.

if your headunit can set the rear or subw rca's to low freq only set it that way and still set the amp as i just said

make sure you have the proper RCAs into the proper amp. front rcas into mids/highs amp and sub/rear rca's into the sub amp

Alrighy. Sweet. I'll set the sub amp to that. My head unit can only control the one set of rcas I have coming out of it. And that's what I need to be set to "through" supposably for the 6x9s to actually work. But doing that is what takes the sub amp from being set to low frequencies. You've been loads of help !!! No problem dude. And might I recommend getting a hu with 2+ rca inputs? It allows you to have so much more control over your system. Or a 360.3 or something along the lines of that. Depending on how into car audio you actually are/inspiring to be.

Yes. Haha. I have considered getting a good/better HU. But I really seem to like my JVC cuz it's simple. And you could say I'm quite addicted to car audio. Along with just about every other person here I suppose. Im already running 2 kenwood 6.5s in the doors. 2 kenwood 6x9s in the rear deck. And now 2 more kenwood 6x9s in a custom box in between my back seats. And just picked up 2 more 6x9s Kenwood again. At the junk yard today for $18. Look super clean. And a somewhat newer model I believe. As well as 2 kenwood 12s in a giant box in the trunk. With a 1200watt kinetic battery. A h/o alt. the big three upgrade. All ran with 0 gauge. And all the amp power and grounds with 4 gauge.

That's a lot of speakers lol I have two sets of 6.5s with rear fill on 2 amps with 8 channels total for mids/highs and it's enough to hurt my ears. Sometimes more speakers isnt better, but it probably will get louder on less power

Yes. I know. Haha. Definitely the last of the speakers im adding. Just not enough room to put them. ! Im only using the 6x9sfor mids and highs. Figuring it should sound good since the 2 in the rear deck are 3 ways. And the other 4 are 4 ways. The only thing that is really. Really cheap are the 6.5s i have. I bought them to replace my blown stock ones for like $20. Haha. But im hoping to add 2 more 12s to the back as well at some point. loud and obnoxious
