I just got my car and i'm setting up my amp.

Problem is, is that my 1993 civic is like a fiberglass/alum body all the way around so I berely have any ground. I KNOW for a fact that the door bars are connected to the frame and groundable, but the amp still doesn't turn on. I have it connected to the positive side on my battery. I have it all hooked up the same way I had it in my friends car, so the connections are fine. I reconnected everything anyways though.

Anything I should do? Please help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i used to have a 1993 civic, a 4 door. Use the floor board, then upgrade the engine block to chassis ground wire to 0/1 gauge. I don't recall which point was best, but it had a small subwoofer in it and that had ground on it.

Perhaps it COULD be your remote wire that's bad, not the ground. If in doubt, try to place the wires directly onto the batt terminals.

put a multimeter on the amp. connect black to negative and then take the red and check the power cable and the remote cable at the amp. it the multimeter keeps jumping back and forth you have a bad ground, the meter should read in between 10 to 13 volts with the car turned on. If you do have power at b12 and the remote then your amp is f&*^ed
