Amp mounting

I have seen quite a few pictures on here and elsewhere with amps secured to the sub box. I thought this was a no-no? I only ask because I am running out of room in my trunk and need to find a place to mount my amps.

i asked this, some said its ok, some said dont. I didnt have choice and have had them like that for over year or so now with absolutely no problems. The first time i mounted like that i doubled the side of box the amps would be on. This time I mounted straight to it and still have not had any problems. I have also seen alot of people do this also

alot depends on wat your running....if its not something great then you will be ok .....alot of people have also used a sound dampening material under the amp to ease vibrations.

The vibrations really don't make a difference, its the security of giving the would be theif an all in one package.

I mounted a Cadence 4 Channel to a dual 15" prefab box and now that amp just sits in my room needing to be fixed...

That was the original plan, but I am doing a 4th order box now (double the airspace) and the box is going to cover the entire backseat. IS300's have very small trunks.

I was wondering about this also. Hopefully someone like db-r has an answer.
