amp mounting inside the seat

anyone flush mount amps in the back of their seats? any downfall to this? I really don't have anywhere else to put them

I have had buddies that have flushed mounted amps into the back of rear seats. You could see them looking inside the trunk. I have seen it done in trucks using the underside of the rear bench seat also. Fold it up and bam there are the amps you could not find. Use to be popular in comp vehicles.

Problem is cooling if you cover it with plexi. Also they are a PITA to mount in seats like this above. Usually requires a fiberglass pod or some wood work then you have to figure out how to mount it securely to the seat.

I am assuming you are not talking about just stuffing an amp in a set. If so not a good idea.

no, it would be a fiberglass tub flushed into the back side of the front seats. I have a single cab dodge ram.

if its in a single cab, why flush them in? it would be 100x easier to just use self tapping screws and screw them into the seat back
