You should measure the space under your seats first so you will know what size of amp fits in there.

Alpine 4 channel amps are small, they should fit under the seat, but if you can hook it up in the trunk it will be better.

I have a subaru wagon and my amp installed in my trunk was stollen last week so now im moving my new amp under the seat until i have time and money to build a better amp rack (hidden or stealth) in my trunk.

I have installed amp under the seats of a Honda Accord (1992) they weren't very big so they fit ok. If the amp isn't very big, (and granted its not a cheap amp) you shouldn't have any overheating problems.

Remember that the design of the amp corelates to the possibilities of overheating. I had a PPI A1200 in the trunk of my 63 Nova. It was underneath the Enclosure with insulation covering it from cosmetic damage from the box; it never overheated once. Cheaper amps will typically overheat quicker than a better built amp.

ok, thanks so i will just have to do some more plannig I am curious about under the seat cuz i live in the middle of the hood and i dont want my beats to get jacked. I believe that a system should be heard and not seen. And I like the idea of shorter pre-amp wires to the amp.

I mounted my kicker kx150.4 (4 ch amp) under my passenger seat. I did this because I had no room on my back seat with my sub amp on it. I took out the senter console and ran 14 gauge speaker wire to all of my speakers. I know you can use a higher gauge wire, but i wanted 14. My amp is fine and works well. But I don not know about a bigger amp. My amp is pretty small and seemed to fit perfectly.
