Im getting a Audiobahn A2800E to power my currently cheap-o flee market subs. (Was giving to me for free and ima keep for about another month or so) Now im currently in search of an amp kit. At first i was goin to get a KnuKonceptz 4awg amp kit (http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KLM-K4) but it is all out of stock atm. So now im just planing to get the 8wg version (http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KLM-K8). Here comes the questions:

1. Would 8awg be enough or should i wait and get the 4awg.

2. Is there another good company where i can get a 4awg kit at around 30 shipped?

3. Does those amp kits have everything ill need to hook up my amp?

4. Later on i will use the amp to probably power a pair of Rainbow SLC 265. If i end up getin 8awg would that be enough?

if your gonna power another amp for your rainbows, go with 4 guage. 8 awg may be enough for you audiobahn amp, but with 2 amps i wouldnt try it. so it is better to go with 4 gauge now. and it should tell you everything that is included in the kit, and you can decide if it includes everything

well i just realized that the only difference between the two is the 4awg uses a 80A fuse holder and the 8awg uses 50A fuse. Im not familiar with fuses so whats the difference there? The only other difference is the 4awg uses 4awg ground and the 8awg uses 8awg. So i could just upgrade to 4awg ground wire after if i need to.

its 8 awg wire, that means your power wire and your ground is 8 awg, and your 4 guage kit, has 4 guage wire. 4 gauge is able to pass more current through it, and feed your amp with a more stable voltage. the fuse isnt the problem, its the amount of current that you will prolly pull with to amps, and the 8 awg will not be able to handle it. i say get the 4 guage kit.

Yeah it does say the 8awg kit comes with 4awg power wire and 8awg ground.

I want to know too, is that just a typo?

**EDIT**

Yeah it's a misprint.

On their Ebay store it says 8awg power wire

Damm. I knew it was too good to be true..

Thanks black for the welcome.

Wow those kicker 4AWG kits look very nice, especially for those prices. Thanks for that post G00SE. It seems as though people are liking the Kicker hyperflex power and ground cables.

Did the site help with understanding fuses?
