Amp is getting real hot...

My amp is getting pretty hot, pretty quick. It's an Alpine MRP-1000 on 2 type R's I set the Gain with a DMM to 44.7 volts. I have my Bassboost on my Deck and on the amp all the way off. LPF is at ~80. Subs are 2ohm and they are wired at 2ohms also. Stock electrical I need to get the big 3 done. What could be causing this?

Check your grounds. either a weak or loose ground

I have a good ground ive grounded amps to the same stop in the past and no issues. But they where smaller i guess.

try running the ground off the batt ground. Thats what I had to do.
