Amp in protect mode?

The light on my amp that goes to my speakers is red. Anyone know if the orion amps light is suppose to be green or red?

suppose to be green, in most cases.

unplug the the speakers and see if the protection light goes away. if so, something's wrong with the speaker. if not, your amp may have problems.

He means disconnect the speaker wires.

check the voltage on your power wire... check your sub wiring.. and check EVERYTHING!

edit: maybe try grounding it some where else.. you could have a weak ground spot.

the forth pic where there are 2 power wires into one ... the guy that hooked up my amp for my mids tapped into the power wire of my amp to my sub.

is your power wire bigger than your ground?

its not bigger than my ground .. i believe its the same size .. maybe the place where he grounded it was bad? i mean my system sounded fine for about 6-8 months and then while driving in traffic my right side soundstage just started to sound staticy (sp?) or muffled. i honestly dont know whats wrong because this is my first system.

so in other words .. i should take apart the guys wiring and put a distroblock there and i should be fine? and maybe reground my ground

Anyone have any recommendations on the distroblocks? which one i should use? and which company?
