What amp is this? Looks like an older Fosgate but what exactly? Someone posted it on my facebook and I'm not sure if I should grab it or not.

That looks like an old punch 250. Those were some of the best amps rockford ever made. Mid to late 90's.

I mean if it's cheap and it works (test it) then heck yea. I think the 250 is wider though, looks more like this 160a2 without one of the side covers:

You always need a 2 channel for your mids or highs, or bridged to a low watt sub!!
