amp help

i was wondering if im going to need a new alternator or capacitor for my system

2003 pontiac grand am (105amp alternator)

2 v109d6 visonik 10" subs (600wrms)

alpine mrd-m1005 (1000w Rms amp

alpine cda-9833 head unit

i would realy apreciate the help

Get a 250+ amp alternator + a 5-farad cap to be on the safe side, I would...
Don't listen to this guy, he knows nothing on the topic of car audio.

Don't worry about a cap, those things are useless for bolstering a charging system.

I would hook everything you have up and see how bad or if at all the dimming is. IF its an issue, then replace the Big 3 wires (alt + to batt +, Batt - to chassis, chassis to engine). If its still there, look into a better battery, like an optima (or any other deep cycle or gell battery). IF those don't fix it, then look into a HO alternator. Most likely, a 160-180A would be just fine for you.

 
Iraggi Alternators, produce 75% of the amperage in the lower ranges of RPM, so you get more juice at idle speeds too. Plus he is cheaper than Ohio Generator, Mean Green, Stinger, etc...
