ok so i need some help with this. heres my problem, i have 2 kicker comps subs, 150rms and 300 max. i have no clue what type of amp to get for it. should i go by rms or max? bridge them and get a mono amp. or a 4 channel and use 2 channels. i found a good amp thats 300watts rms x2 channels but iam worried that willl blow my speakers, i also found a kicker mono amp thats 500 rms at 2 ohms, so if i bridge them i would be getting 500 watts. what should i do? what is better? and what are good amps? i heard good and bad about hifonics, i heard they just die after a year for no reason :/ what do you guys think about those amps? and mb quart? what should i do? mono or 4 channel? what are good amps?

sweet. so if i get the kicker mono amp thats 500 watts rms, and bridge the two subs, i should be good? it wont damage the speakers?
total rms for your subs is 300....so a 500rms amp will allow you some headroom(which is recommended)

then all you do is set the gains conservatively and as you get some experience you can add power

thanks man, you cleared up all my worries up in just a couple oif minutes. awesome! so ill go with the kicker mono amp. one more question if u doint mind. what do you think about hifonics amps? cause i wanna get one for the door speakers, for highs and mids?

I have never used Hifonics.....

there is no bridging a mono amp,its only 1 channel.make sure ur speakers are dual 2 ohm, wire each speaker to 4 ohms and ur amp will see a 2 ohm load
yeah i meant likethe subs, when u bridge the subs. mine are 4ohm so if i bridge them the amp will see them as a 2ohm load...right?

if the subs are single voice coil(SVC) 4ohm, then when you parallel them and run to a single channel then yes the amp will see 2ohm.

seeing as we are talking about a mono amp, the 2+ and 2- on the amp are paralleled internally, so you just run each sub to a + and - pair and be done
