amp help

You wanna run 1 amp or 2?
1 4 channel amp plus a mono amp.
well i got a 4 channel amp right now, kenwood kac-746, 400 watt bridged, its an older one my sister had laying around. so you think this one would work for all my stuff or do i need to buy a new 4 channel amp and a mono for my sub alone? or just buy a new mono and use the older kenwood?

You could make it work, but you would be working the shit out of that amp. You'd have to wire the fronts and rears together to make a 2 ohm load on the front 2 channels then use the other 2 channels for the sub. I wouldn't do it that way, but it should work. You could get like a 400 watt kicker mono amp and run the sub off of that if you like how that Kenwood's treating you.

alright, so if i get a mono amp just for my sub, my 400 watt amp should push my 4 speakers fine right?

and any suggestions on what mono amp i should get?

Do you have a specific budget in mind? It'd probably be best if you changed the amp out as well so you are providing the speakers with sufficient power and not overworking the amp. I bet it gets pretty hot...
