Amp Help

Hey guys, im new and im in need of some help here. Im 17 so im just starting out, but ive tried to read as much info as possible on car audio since i love it. Right now im young so i dont have all the money in the world to spend on something amazing, but im trying to get the best i can with what i got.

Right now, i have an alpine head unit, not sure which model (i no it ends in 45) I got 4 Kicker Speakers, 6.5 in the front, and 6X9 in the rear. I have dual 12's in my trunk, powered off a 600 Watt Jensen 4 Channel amp, bridged at about 120watts each i beleive they told me. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7044085&type=product&productCategoryId=cat03081&id=1099396976115 those are the subs i got, yes cheap i no. I got them for free from my cousin.

***Now for my question, i want to take my 4 channel amp and power my 4 speakers with it, meaning i need another amp for my subs now. What would be a good amp to power those subs pretty much as loud as they could go without blowin them? i no it says 600RMS but i no they cant put out anywhere near that much i would assume. first off remember you get what you pay for in the world of car stereo .

second .. nevermind what the peak power is , always match your amp to the total rms rating of the subs , in your case it is 600watts rms @2ohms . if that is what it calls for then thats what you get . subs are meant to heard in mono , so you need a mono or class d amplifier not a 2 or 4 channel stereo amp that is for mids and highs etc.

try and go with a well known brand amplifier that has been tested and tried by others and known to be somewhat reliable .

after looking around and knowing your are on a tight budget my suggestion would be to save up a little more and look into the hifonics or audiobahn brand of amps . they are a good amp for beginners . check out the hifonics tx1005d it should get you near what you need . set the gain half way and work it up to where you think the subs can handle the power the best . good luck .
