get a dmm.

test the bolt at seat belt in ohms on the dmm, should get a low reading close to zero ohms if its a good ground. youl need to put 1 dmm pin on a pos source like the battery lead. and then place the neg dmm pin on the area you want to test.

set dmm to resistance (or ohms)

take 1 lead of multimeter, dont matter which one and touch it to the ground location , and take the other lead and touch it to the neg battery post and see what your ohm readin is.

touch the to leads together before you do this and see what the ohm restistance is befor ehand. lets say you touch both leads together and it reads .1 ohms. then do what i said and take the reading you et and subtract the .1 ohms from it

Sounds like a bad ground to me just check all connections make sure they are tight i dont trust audio shops they just try and get money out of you. What amp and sub are you running and what gauge power and ground
