Amp gets no power

Alright so I have all new wiring. All new fuses. The only wire that isn't new is my remote wire. My amp gets not power at all. It was working fine the other day. But I helped my friend the other day with his amp and I left the battery connected and I plugged it into the amp and sparks everywhere. So I got new wires and the blew all my fuses on my amp and I replaced those. The only wire I didn't replace is the remote wire. Could this be the reason my amp is getting no power? Do I need a new one?

Sounds like you may have fried the amp.

Do this before doing anything else:

Get a voltmeter - they are cheap - or borrow one.

Set voltmeter on "DC Volts" and set range so +12 is in the range selected.

Put black wire on ground and use red wire to check for +12 (approx) at battery+ and amp+

Turn everything on headunit, etc, as if you were playing music and measure for +12v on the REMOTE input terminal at the amp.

Report back here.
