yea i have a visonik 350Watt mono block amp, yea i know garbage lol but sitll...

there is to knobs a frequence and a gain.... i got the freq at 80 to match my deck,

my question is on the gain.... i read that the higher the setting the lower the gain??

it goes

.

Min - Max

so when the dial is near max does that mean my gain is low??? and when i have the gain on the min setting it means i have my gain cranked up???

confused cuz i read that 4V is lower gain then 2V so is this right?>?

I think you are confused because gain is used to match the sensitivity of the input on your amp to the output of your HU. So when the gain is low, it is less sensitive because the output voltage of the HU you are matching it to is higher. And when the gain is high, it is more sensitive because the output voltage of the HU you are matching it to is lower. I think that is where you were confused. But the higher the gain, the louder it will be.

ok gotcha, higher the gain setting the louder it is and the more it will pound...

what you guys think about for now, im gonna go get an ininfinity perfect 12.1 sub, how well do you think my amp will run this sub, atleast until i get a new amp.. i beleive it is 100-150 rms @ 4ohms the amp. and from what i hear these subs are pretty good... there 350rms @ 4 ohms... input please and thank you

I would usually crank up the HU to about 80-90% of tis max and then start setting the amp gains till I feel the music is just abotu right and not distorting.
