Amp fuses keep blowing

hmmm weird let me think i doubt water getting on the ground would mess anything up unless did you turn your car on blow a fuse then realized your ground was wet

Yeah it was running for awhile before I realized it, and it was running fine. The fuse blew after like half an hour of having it turned up high.

make sure ground is as good as you can get if possible use a bolt and nut on the other side to keep vibrations from loosing it but i could be barking and blowin your fuse ... fuse in amp right or power wire??

Tomorrow I'll try a different ground, to see if that helps.

It's the fuse in the amp, not the in-line fuse.

are you running 14v??? since you said 300 at 14v

try a higher a fuse you said 30 see if you can get a bigger one in there and see if it stays

try anything higher like 35-40

I tested it once while the car was running and it read 14v

Nah, it's all stock. 80amp stock alt. One battery, Wal Mart Everstart.

you may be getting the amp to hot have you mounted it differently than before 30 minutes is awhile havin it up all the way what is it powering

well then i doubt it's 14v it's prolly reading wrong it should be around 12.0

Yeah, it feels really hot when I'm done, like it burns my hand. I had it mounted on my box when it blew the first time, today I put it on the backseat and I have the same results.

I'll try reading the voltage again tomorrow also, I thought 14v was a bit odd. It was 12v with the engine off, and 14 with it on.

Tommorrow go over your power wire redo it at battery if you have a doubt in your mind try using an ring terminal if you can just try to get the safest best connection possible then run down the power wire make sure no bare wire showing check remote make sure nothin is bare and a good connection check ground move to different place make sure try make you remove the paint or gloss from the metal if any is there an in-line fuse in your setup??
