im getting one type r 12 dvc and plan to wire it at 2ohms what amp should i pair it with ? and suggestions or previous experiences with the type r ?

Something along the lines of a Kicker 750.1 would be agreat choice... Just be careful when sending her that much power, keep your gains reasonable and you'll be okay

Look at a Rockford Fosgate P600.1BD as well... Type R is a great sub! I think you'll get a lot more than you'd expect out of it with a good amp...

Great sub. I use a Jl 500/1 on each of my 15s and it's plenty to get them moving. Don't be fooled into thinking you need a billion watts to make it shine. Just get a good, solid amp.
