amp for the whole car

Uh... The speakers will try to play all the frequencies... Won't they distort and sound pretty much awful...? Think of a 6.5" speaker trying to play down to 40 hz... Or a subwoofer playing what a tweeter puts out. (IDK what frequency tweeters play at... I want to say somewhere around 10,000 hz...)
A decent HU will have at least a built-in sub crossover and you will get sub out and line out. A decent amp will have high-pass and low-pass settings for each set of channels to prevent the exact situation you are describing. (components have crossovers in them as well)

and you just missed a Brax 5-ch. in the classifieds.

ya,.. im running two subs off mine at 1 ohm.. 1100 watts

Sounds really clean.

Was using a 1200 planet audio amp,...

just with an amp change it has made a world of difference... soooo much cleaner now

I've heard you can put a high and low pass filter into the lines but I really don't think it would matter because if I set the filter at full the sub is only going to play the frequencies it can play and the speakers will only play the frequencies they can play so I really don't think its necessary. Yea I might not be getting the absolute best sound because of the extra filtering but I don't think it will hurt anything. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
So I take it you did not understand anything i said in your thread.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
